Local Goods Chicago is hiring staff for an upcoming opening. Here are some of the regular work tasks:
- Open and close the store
- Meet and recruit new artisans to sell at the store
- Manage store inventory
- Handle store sales at register
- Send out electronic newsletters
- Manage social media
- Setting up classes and events
- Maintain website
- Clean and organize store as needed
The right person for the job should be familiar with using the following:
- Square Register
- Social Media platforms (mainly Facebook and Instagram)
The individual must be able to work independently and comfortable with working at the store as the only employee during their shift. This role will require some work on the weekends and can range from 16 - 35 hours per week. Weekdays, the staff will need to work a full day. Since we have a very small staff, it is helpful to have some flexibility with our staff so that we can cover for other staff when they are out.
Their are no benefits with this position other than a store employee discount.
