Street Art On Devon

a yarn explosion hits Devon Ave to celebrate creativity, community, and Local Goods Chicago's new storefront.

Here are the ways that you can participate:

1. Knit or Crochet a square out of yarn.  Each square should be one solid color: white or blue.  Squares dimensions can be: 5", 6", 10" or 12"  Like the Blue of the Chicago Flag.
2. Create flowers, pom poms or stars to decorate the tree.  Shades of RED only
3. Help us assemble the squares into a blanket, date to be announced.  This most likely will be sewing.

Calendar
May 31st 11AM              -  Meet at Local Goods Chicago to make some squares and meet the team.
June 7th                          - Meet at Local Goods Chicago to make more squares and pom poms!
June 14th 11AM             - Last day to turn in squares.  Please bring or mail them to Local Goods Chicago.  We will meet at our new
                                             location 5422 W. Devon to start putting squares together and see how many more we need.
June 15th  11AM             - Continue Assembling squares at 5422 W. Devon 
June 19th 1PM to 3PM - Free Workshop at Local Goods Chicago to make pom poms, flowers, stars for the project.
June 24th                        - INSTALLATION
June 26th                        - Installation rain date
