Author and retired executive director of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) Richard "Dick" Lanyon discusses the history of Chicagoland's sanitation districts, water-related public engineering projects, sewage treatment, stormwater management, and more.
His three books: "Building the Canal to Save Chicago," "Draining Chicago: The Early City and the North Area," and "West by Southwest to Stickney: Draining the Central Area of Chicago and Exorcising Clout" will be available for purchase and signing.
